DONNIE L. GUY  OWNER / INSTRUCTOR

Donnie Guy has worked in the Electrical & Plumbing Industry for over 25 years. Donnie has been a Unlimited NC licensed Electrical Contractor since 1993 and is currently a NC, SC and GA licensed Electrical Contractor. Donnie has been a licensed Unlimited Plumbing Contractor since 2009.

Donnie has worked in all aspects of the Electrical trade from working in Industrial Maintenance to currently owning and operating his own Electrical and Plumbing contracting business full time since 1997. Donnie received his A.A.S Degree in Industrial Electrical / Electronics Technician in 1995. Upon obtaining his A.A.S. Degree he was hired as an Instructor in the Electrical Program at Bladen Community College. It was while teaching at Bladen Community College that Donnie developed a strong interest in teaching. In 1997 he ventured out to start a full time Electrical Contracting business which he still continues to operate to date. Having stepped away from teaching for several years Donnie realized that he really missed the interaction and satisfaction of sharing his knowledge of the Electrical trade with others and learning from others as well. Donnie started Contracting Classes LLC in 2011 to share his knowledge and love of the trades.

Donnie was Recognized and Awarded by the NC Electrical Board as the 2016 Instructor of the Year.

OUR CLASSES

Our on-site classes are taught in a very laid back and informal environment. Our instructors are current licensed contractors that work in the trades. We present our classes in a format that is easily understood by tradesmen. We recognize there are benefits to having instructors that currently work in the trades and we optimize that to present our materials.

Our on-line classes are developed in house with the same concept of presenting them in a format that is easily understood by contractors. Our online classes require a basic understanding of the codes and don't require any needless memorization.

Contracting Classes LLC Continuing Education

We offer State Board of Examiners approved Electrical, Plumbing, and Mechanical ( HVAC ) in person and online continuing education courses.
